Three years down the quest to explore the relationship between the living and the divine, the findings of Man & God was recently presented at Galleriiizu. This updated sequel comprised 70 posters, created by designers and artists from all over the world. Not only has the number of contributors to the Man & God project grown, the media scope has also expanded beyond printed matter to include moving graphics, installation art and performing art.
A series of three dialogues was held in conjunction with the exhibition. Titled On the Road and Back Home: 'Visual Experiences', the dialogues presented a platform for designers and artists to share their experiences as visual communicators in their respective disciplines. Issues discussed include the joy and pains of setting up one's own design outfit, money vs learning opportunities, and the differences between working in the local industry and overseas. We hope the dialogues were inspiring and helped to clear some doubts in the minds of young designers.
We would like to thank all contributors and friends for their support in making the show and dialogues a success.
